Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information SavvyHomeSavings.com (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects when you visit, how that information is used, who it is shared with, and what choices you have. We try to be straightforward — if anything below is unclear, email us at admin@savvyhomesavings.com.

1. Information We Collect

We collect two kinds of information:

  • Information you give us directly — such as your email address when you subscribe to our DealsLetter newsletter or send us a message via the Contact page.
  • Information collected automatically when you visit the site — including your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, the pages you view, the time and date of your visit, and approximate geographic location (country / region level). This data is collected via cookies and similar technologies operated by us and by third parties.

2. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our third-party partners use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to operate the site, measure traffic, and serve advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or delete cookies that have already been set. Blocking some cookies may affect site functionality.

3. Third-Party Advertising — Google AdSense

SavvyHomeSavings.com participates in the Google AdSense program. Google and its third-party ad-serving vendors use cookies — including the DoubleClick DART cookie — to serve advertisements based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. This is sometimes called “interest-based” or “personalized” advertising.

4. Analytics — Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (via Google’s Site Kit plugin) to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate — which pages are popular, how long visitors stay, and where traffic comes from. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes IP addresses; we have IP anonymization enabled. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5. Social Media Pixels — Meta (Facebook)

We use the Meta Pixel (also known as the Facebook Pixel) to understand how visitors interact with the site after seeing or clicking our content on Facebook or Instagram, and to occasionally show our content to similar audiences. The pixel may collect information about your visit, including your IP address and pages viewed. You can manage how Meta uses this data in your Facebook Ad Preferences.

6. Affiliate Programs — Amazon Associates

SavvyHomeSavings.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program. When you click an Amazon link on this site and make a qualifying purchase, Amazon may set cookies to attribute the sale to us, and we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Amazon’s data practices are governed by the Amazon Privacy Notice. See our Affiliate Disclosure page for more.

7. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the website
  • To send the DealsLetter newsletter you subscribed to (you can unsubscribe in any email)
  • To respond to messages you send us through the Contact page
  • To measure traffic and content performance in aggregate
  • To serve and measure the effectiveness of advertising
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical problems
  • To comply with legal obligations

8. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the categories of recipients listed below, and only to the extent needed for the purposes described:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that operate our servers and CDN.
  • Email service provider that delivers the DealsLetter newsletter.
  • Analytics providers (Google Analytics) for aggregate traffic measurement.
  • Advertising partners (Google AdSense, Meta) as described in Sections 3 and 5.
  • Affiliate networks (Amazon Associates) as described in Section 6.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, property, or safety.

9. Data Retention

Newsletter subscriber emails are retained until you unsubscribe. Server logs and analytics data are retained for up to 26 months and then deleted or anonymized. Contact-form messages are retained for as long as needed to handle the request and any related follow-up.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date.
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your personal data.
  • Objection / restriction — object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing.
  • Portability — receive your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw consent you previously gave (e.g. unsubscribe from the newsletter).
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

For California residents (CCPA / CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold; to request deletion; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not “sell” personal information for money, but the use of advertising cookies described above may qualify as “sharing” under the CPRA. To exercise any of these rights, email admin@savvyhomesavings.com.

For EU/UK/EEA residents (GDPR): The legal bases on which we process your personal data are (a) your consent (newsletter, optional cookies), (b) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the site and advertising, and (c) compliance with legal obligations.

11. Children’s Privacy

SavvyHomeSavings.com is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including HTTPS for all site traffic. No system is perfectly secure, however; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. International Transfers

The site is operated from the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
