Welcome to SavvyHomeSavings.com
SavvyHomeSavings.com is an independent home & lifestyle blog focused on two simple things: practical home advice that actually works, and honest deal coverage on the kinds of products real households buy. Everything we publish — from a 600-word guide on caulking a tub to a roundup of cordless vacuums — is meant to save you either money, time, or a frustrating afternoon.
This page tells you who runs the site, how we choose what to publish, where our money comes from, and how to reach us. If you have questions after reading it, the Contact page is the fastest way to get in touch.
Who We Are
SavvyHomeSavings.com is run by a small editorial team led by Elvin, the founding editor. Elvin has spent more than a decade renting, owning, fixing, decorating, and breaking various homes across the U.S. — and learning the hard way which advice on the internet actually pans out and which doesn’t. The site is contributed to by a rotating cast of home-improvement, gardening, cooking, and cleaning enthusiasts, all working under a single editorial standard: write what you’d actually tell a friend, and don’t recommend what you wouldn’t use yourself.
The site is independently owned. We are not affiliated with any retailer, brand, or manufacturer.
What We Cover
- Home repair & DIY — small fixes, weekend projects, the kind of work a determined homeowner can do without a contractor.
- Cleaning & organizing — repeatable routines instead of one-off makeovers.
- Gardening & outdoor — practical container, lawn, and vegetable-bed advice for non-experts.
- Kitchen & cooking — pantry routines, knife care, fridge organization, the tools that earn their place.
- Daily deals — a curated rundown of home-relevant Amazon deals worth your attention, refreshed daily.
How We Choose What to Publish
Every lifestyle and how-to post on this site is required to:
- Solve a specific, real-world problem (no listicles for the sake of listicles).
- Include concrete numbers, steps, or scenarios — not vague generalizations.
- Cite real, verifiable information when statistics appear (we don’t invent numbers).
- Stay evergreen — useful 6 to 12 months from publication, not tied to a fad.
- Pass a readability sanity check: would a friend actually finish reading this?
For deal coverage, we rely on a combination of Amazon’s public price history, retailer-direct pricing, and editorial judgment about whether a product is worth recommending at the listed price. We do not publish a “deal” simply because the seller is running a discount — the underlying product has to be one we’d be willing to suggest at full price.
How This Site Makes Money
We’re transparent about this because it shapes the trust you place in the site. SavvyHomeSavings.com earns revenue in two ways:
- Affiliate commissions, primarily through the Amazon Associates program. When you click certain product links and make a qualifying purchase, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The full disclosure lives on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
- Display advertising, served through Google AdSense and other ad networks. Details on how those ads work and your privacy choices are in our Privacy Policy.
What we don’t do: accept payment in exchange for a positive review, hide a sponsorship inside an editorial piece, or recommend a product because of how much commission it pays. If a product earns a recommendation, the recommendation came first and the affiliate link came second.
Editorial Corrections
We make mistakes. When we do, we fix them — and where the correction is material, we note it at the bottom of the post. If you’ve found something inaccurate, please email admin@savvyhomesavings.com with the URL and what we got wrong. We aim to respond within two business days.
Get In Touch
